Little bit about 1 Muharram

This day, 5 November 2013 (1 Muharram 1435H) is moslem new year. Muharram is derived from the Indonesian word meaning 'forbidden' that is prohibited from engaging in war or bloodshed. The meaning indicates that the month of Muharram will be a month of peace for all people.
 
Moment of the Islamic new year is a means to strengthen Islamic brotherhood. One Muharram should not be celebrated as the new year AD that much partying, but celebrated with activities that educate religious issues, establish themselves better, and share in each other.

Muharram month also marks the arrival of happiness for the poor. This month, Muslims disunnahkan to reproduce orphan charity and sympathize. Muslims also sunnah to fast on 1 Muharram as a form of purification to welcome the new year.

Islamic New Year celebration should be a self-evaluation and the momentum that begins uphold the truth from yourself. May we hijra into a better person. In this new year, i have some resolution. Hope it's gonna be come true..Amiinnn yra.
